The  QUIET  LEAGUE
I have to be honest
I was expecting it
Something spoke within the ghost of my soul
There was no denying it
A voice on the other side
Spoke soft confession
Was this a joke, a real horrible joke
Someone’s sick obsession
But it was the truth…

I nearly dropped the phone
Couldn’t catch my breath
My last hope gone, taken away
I could taste its death
But her voice was so soothing
Even amidst the pain
Baby I’m sorry, she said baby I’m sorry
I wish we never met this way
But this is the truth…

An awkward frequency
When the evidence is shown
Emails of lust that were poorly written
And records from the cell phone
Tears would start to shed
Though there was a sense of relief
Shaken and stirred – A change of mind
I'm now a part of the Quiet League
This is the truth…
